A non-surgical eyelift known as blepharoplasty or fibroblast therapy, is a non-invasive treatment to reduce wrinkles and sagging skin around the eyes by stimulating the collagen. The treatment takes about 1.5 hours and cost a fraction of a traditional eyelift. The procedure is performed with a Plasma Pen by a certified Medical Esthetician.

How Does It Work?
Plasma Pen technology uses electricity converted to gaseous diatomic nitrogen. This energized gas is applied to the skin around the eyes, which works as a micro-abrasive to the epidermal layer of skin and also heats and stimulates the deeper layers. The Plasma Pen fibroblasts very focused areas of the skin (named after fibroblast cells - a fibroblast is a type of cell that contributes to the formation of connective tissue, a fibrous cellular material that supports and connects other tissues or organs in the body. Fibroblasts secrete collagen proteins that help maintain the structural framework of tissues). It is a very safe procedure. The Medical Esthetician uses a topical anaesthesia and the patient only experiences very mild discomfort.

How long does it last?
Like most esthetic procedures, the effects of Plasma Pen treatment may diminish with time and ageing and require additional treatments to maintain. However, fibroblasting can stimulate collagen with effects lasting years (depending on your skin and age).

Other Treatments
Plasma Pen fibroblasting can be used in combination with other treatments such as biorevitalisation, liquid threading, micro-needling or chemical peels to give the best and most dramatic results.

Recovery Time
After about 2 hours, the redness and feeling of heat will diminish. The following day small dots may appear in the treated areas but will dry and fall off in the following 2 to 3 days.
