Microblading is a semi-permanent tattooing of the skin behind the eyebrows using a blade-like tool to insert colour pigments in the upper layer of the skin. Normal tattooing uses concentrated dyes and is injected deeply into the skin leaving a permanent mark and differs from micro blading that uses only pigments and is superficial lasting a year or more. The duration is longer is a follow-up treatment is made. Factors such as oily skin and sun exposure can reduce the long-lasting effects. It is a cosmetic procedure used by both men and women to have realistic looking brows with fantastic results.

People with very sensitive skin or many skin allergies are not good candidates for microblading. It is not recommended for pregnant women, those breastfeeding or taking certain medications. If you are taking antibiotics, you need to wait 14 days after the final dosage which can interfere with the pigment colour when healing. The procedure takes about 2 hours. Each line is drawn precisely with the blade to resemble a brow hair. The Medical Esthetician will apply a topical anaesthesia. There is some mild discomfort, some say is it similar to having a cat scratch. The area will be irritated for a short period of time but will completely recover in a few weeks. The colour will appear darker than normal at first but will fade to the appropriate colour choice.

The procedure costs 299€ and a follow-up treatment costs 125€. The follow-up treatment reapplies pigment to ensure a longer-lasting effect. The second treatment is scheduled 30 or 45 days later.
