Radio Frequency Skin Tightening Facial
A Radio Frequency Facelift (RF) is a skin tightening treatment otherwise known as a non-surgical facelift and is a treatment for sagging skin. Radio frequency uses safe levels of low-frequency electromagnetic waves to generate heat and penetrate deep into the skin’s layers stimulating new skin cell production. This process promotes growth of elastin and collagen, proteins that strengthen skin cells allowing the skin to regain firmness.
Collagen begins to decline by around 1% per year starting in our 20’s due to ageing, lifestyle, diet, sun exposure and the negative effects of smoking. While collagen cannot be directly injected back into the skin, we can regenerate it with technologies like Radio Frequency. The results are not only immediate but a delayed collagen synthesis takes place over the following months after treatment. For the best and most long-lasting results, 4 to 6 treatments can be administered 10 days apart. The full effects of RF are seen within two to six months. The effects may last from one to three years depending on your age.
The procedure is comfortable, like having a warm stone massage on your face and neck. Since it is not an invasive procedure, there is no down-time. A session last approximately 30 minutes.
